New Waterfront Corus Quay
A new commercial building that looks like one of the many Toronto Condos is now taking shape on the Toronto waterfront east of Yonge Street. This new 500,000 square foot, eight- storey building designed by Diamond and Schmitt Architects will sit on 2.5 acres of prime land.
Corus Entertainment will consolidate 10 existing locations and more than 1,200 employees into the $150-million site.
The architects are seeking a Gold designation for their green building design set out by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
Corus Quay is a prime example of the City of Toronto’s under-developed lands that Build Toronto is now focusing on , adding value, and stimulating the creation of desirable jobs.
One of the Luxury Toronto Waterfront Condos is Pier 27 , a close neighbour on Queen’s Quay.
Its a great building in an even greater waterfront location that puts Build Toronto in an enviable position for North American commercial development.
There is a big similarity between The Corus Quay building and the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, both were designed by Diamond and Schmitt Architects but if these two locations were reversed would we like them even more?
