Higher Toronto Condos

The trend for future Toronto Condos will be bigger and higher embracing green features and built to LEED standards.

Major Toronto builders like Minto and Tridel are now building all there Condos to LEED standards. Some of these projects are: M5V, Maple Leaf Residences and Markham’s Majestic Court. Other builders like Monarch and Menkes are developing other green features of their own.

Bigger units are also in the future plans for new Condo projects with 2-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms with den becoming commonplace. Buyers are realizing that a 1,200 square foot condo is comparable to a 2,500 square foot residential townhouse or fully detached home. It really hard to compare a residential home to a luxury Toronto Condo that includes all the amenities that Condos have to offer. Location alone wins out every-time and price and amenities are the final deal clinchers.

Higher Toronto Condos will address transportation, traffic and energy efficiencies. These Condos will also fit in better with the City of Toronto’s intensification programme. Bazis International has unveiled plans for Toronto’s highest residential/commercial building at the corner of Yonge and Bloor streets. Situated at the crossroads of two Subway Lines and close to everything this project should be a great success. Who needs parking or a car?

Toronto Hotel- Condos like Trump Tower, Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La and the Four Seasons are now planned and some already under construction. Most of these luxury Condominiums are some of the highest buildings in Toronto.

Ultra Luxury Condos like 1 St.Thomas and several others will start selling around $1,000 per square foot. Even the super rich will have more of a choice in new suites and great locations in the very near future.

New Condo designs will also contribute to the future condo projects.International designers like Yansong Ma (Beijing) , Phillipe Starck (France) are just a few of the great designers that will contribute to a new vibrant skyline. Ma is the winner of an international design competition for Daniel’s Absolute condo in Mississauga. A great location, and a great design in Mississauga.

Future Toronto Condos will be higher, include even more lifestyle choices for buyers, be better designed by world class designers and be much more environmentally efficient.

Current listings of Toronto Condos can be found on my Toronto Real Estate website.
