In a recent Toronto newspaper article it was said that Conrad Black among other talents, is considered to have a desire for impressive residential real estate, in cities like London, Palm Beach, New York and Toronto.
Palm Beach was a neighbourhood that Conrad bought into but as far as I know, he had no large Canadian Flag flying there like another neighbour, Donald (A US Flag). Its interesting when you do become famous, a first name will do, and most people will know, who you are talking about.
By purchasing homes in all of these great important cities and with the use of Interior Decorators/Designers, his homes became more attractive to the fanciest social circles. So with these impressive Real Estate locations it became much easier to become socially significant and climb to the pinnacle of prestige.
So there we have it, even in world capitals, its location, location, location for buyers aiming for the top. For purchasers thinking of buying a Toronto Real Estate home of consequence, look no further than the premiere neighbourhoods of Rosedale or Forest Hill, and closely followed by Lawrence Park, Bridle Path, Leaside, Lytton Park and Moore Park. Sherwood Park and Edwards Gardens are equally desirable as well.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, ( I saved it for the end) Conrad Blacks Toronto home is located in the impressive Bridle Path area, at 26 Park Lane Circle. Close by lives another famous Torontonian..Gordon Lightfoot.
A year ago, I never expected Conrad to go to jail and was hopeful his lawyers would nail a suspended sentence at the least but now he is beginning his sentence at a Florida Correction Complex. I hope his stay is a brief as possible and an appeal can turn into a real triumph for him. Martha Stewart, Mike Miliken and Jeffrey Archer went through similar circumstances and the least we can be is supportive and encouraging towards Conrad, after all he was born and raised a Canadian.
